He made me feel nice too.Verse 1
It was an afternoon meant for goodbyes.
But then I met you and you took me by surprise.
You played off my words, finished my sentences.
You read my mind the first time we met.

Trust a friend to tell a friend, what a girl feels.
The way you made me feel was so unreal.
The smiles and butterflies never went away.
I’m still fighting them up until this day.

Chorus
But the story never goes the way I want it.
The ending’s never a happily ever after.
I wish none of us were leaving, and we’d stay.
So we could just remain the same, this way.

Verse 2
Yet another story ending, I came across you.
Amongst a crowd of strangers, I saw through.
Nudges, gentle shoves, flirty eyes and big smiles.
You made everything seem worth while.

Every moment spent was unforgettable.
Hand around my waist, back against your chest.
If I could look into your eyes once more,
I’d never let you slip away like before.

Chorus
But the story never goes the way I want it.
The ending’s never a happily ever after.
I wish none of us were leaving, and we’d stay.
So we could just remain the same, this way.

Bridge
The goodbye is the hardest to forget.
But I’d go back and do it all over again.

So sit me back on that swing and hold me tight.
Share your world with me under the moonlight.
Search for my weaknesses and fill my empty.
Maybe one day there’ll be a you and me.

Chorus
But the story never goes the way I want it.
The ending’s never a happily ever after.
I wish none of us were leaving, and we’d stay.
So we could just remain the same, this last words ring as you step away.
Dead silence but we have so much more to say.
You turn around, just to see how I'm doing.
You know you've left me stranded, cold and ruined.

Every second alone is another breath I don't want to take.
Without you, there's no point of living.
So bury me if I must live a solitary life.
I'd rather be burnt in the sun, than hide.

My nights are hostile without your touch.
I crawl in bed and sing to myself, all the sleepless nights.
I'd rather be held than be holdong onto your worn out thread.<br Been really busy. I'm supposed to be revising for my English mock exam tomorrow and I came across this. I wrote this poem a year ago for my English class. It isn't close to World's best, but it is definitely something that I feel can be related to during times like now, when places like Japan and other effected places are suffering. My prayers and thoughts go out to all who need them. This poem here is called "The End".

Each time I bounce this ball, they call it mother nature.
That does enough damage yet they continue to destroy.
The lights that they form, blind me from the outside.
Sa the days go by, less remains of this ball I hold.

Just in one blink, in less than a second, everything is lost.
Bombs and deafening sounds.
The explosion is like a flashlight in your eye.
There's no chance of escaping from these destructions.

A beautiful disaster, it blinds you to death.
Turns a land full of love into a land full of hate and war.
Soon all the bombs will destroy this little ball.
Leaving nothing but dust, silence and emptiness.

Each time I bounce this ball, they call it mother nature.
That does enough damage yet they continue to destroy.
Disappearing over time, at times which are most sudden.
There will come a day where there is only sand left in my hand.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-11442583908026461002011-02-02T17:40:00.000-08:002011-02-02T08:21:27.190-08:00What I do in math tuition.I saw a cloud cross the sky this morning.
Looked like the one we saw last spring.
When we went to the park and lay down on the grass.
Disappointed that the stars had left.

But that didn’t stop me from falling in love.
For the first time, with no other but you.
Now that you’re gone, I still think about you.
And I’ll never be able to let go of what we had.

I go back to that night, the one I wish I’d forget.
When we yelled at shut-tight doors that stood between us.
It was the first time I ever heard you cry.
But I never got a chance to wipe the tears off your face.
Cuz the dead silence was what reassured me.
You’d left and we never said goodbye.

The things you bought me still lie next to me.
On the desk, next to my bed.
Each having their own little memory.
I always wonder if you ever think of me.

I cried myself to sleep for weeks.
And my heart still has a knife straight through it.
My world was a fantasy when I had you.
But now I’m nothing without you.

I still talk to your friends, just to ask how you are.
I still look out for our shooting star.
Have you ever thought of coming back?
Just to hold me close, one more time.

Cuz that night, I just can’t seem to forget.
When we yelled at shut-tight doors that stood between us.
It was the first time I ever heard you cry.
But I never got a chance to wipe the tears off your face.
Cuz the dead silence was what reassured me.
You’d left and we never said goodbye.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-27554033981762153222011-02-01T23:19:00.000-08:002011-02-01T07:19:23.998-08:00"It's cute."Though he's never met her in real life, he talks to her like he's known her his whole life. She does the same, letting out every emotion that she's ever encountered and pouring everything she has into his hands. Memories, none she created with him, she now entrusted with him. No longer belonging to her, but to the both of them. They trust each other, a trust they don't deny but have no idea where it came from. Unlike anyone else she's met in her life, she feels content just by seeing his face. Through a computer screen, if that's all that is possible.

From the day they were both introduced, by a friend that they had met at different times, they spoke. They spoke whenever they could - calling each other up and listening to the sound of each other's voices. Despite the time differences and physical barrier of distance, they always made time for each other. They had the same schedule when it came to breaks, and even when he left the country he was in - to new time zone - he would still find a way to contact her. In all ways it was a forbidden love. They only shared words together. Speaking all their thoughts and any troubles they had in mind. It was pure innocence and honesty. It was something special but it couldn't progress further than that.

Living in two separate worlds, it was difficult. They talked as often as they could and eventually began exchanging the three words they both thought they'd never mean to each other, but they finally believed they did. He'd never physically seen her or touched her with his bare hands, but he'd hurt her and she'd hurt him too. Of course being teenagers, they had their own little interests in school and such. However, nothing was comparable to what they had. Yet the mentioning of other girls or boys entering their lives was harmful. Still, they allowed it but they hurt deeply inside. They were jealous, and they both knew, but they let things slide.

Now, the connection isn't as strong as it was before. They can take days off and not speak to each other. They don't do it on purpose but now they've got new time zones and more hectic schedules. But just one conversation can light up sparks and bring everything back to where they left it. Though the connection isn't as strong, no matter how dead the lines between them are (momentarily) - the connection never dies. It lives within them and up until today, she still thinks about him. And when he randomly comments on something that she says every now and then, the words he says sends her heart prancing around her body and she's the happiest person in the world.

Ever fallen in love? I haven't. Not yet at least. I've dreamt of it. But I don't think I've ever experienced it. I sometimes scare myself in thinking I never will. But what you just read, I think that's pretty close. The only thing is - if you were in that girls place, would you want to meet that boy? Or would you want to keep this as a memory and never meet in him in fear of ruining this whole fantasy you've been enjoying and loving every moment of? What would you risk? Something more or nothing less?Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-34107800439149577952011-02-01T20:04:00.000-08:002011-02-01T04:04:24.607-08:00Last Night. The cold wind brushes against her shoulder leaving chills down her spine. She is in deep thought with a million things circling in and around her mind. Nothing of remorse or regret. Rather, the unsettling and unfamiliar feeling of resentment. She feels pain flowing within her making her feel unnecessary hatred. For whom the hatred is aimed at, even she is uncertain. She shuts her eyes, pressing her eyelids together tightly, trying to get rid of these unwanted, threatening thoughts.

"How can everything go wrong at once?" she asks herself out loud. Considering the chances of going insane, she begins to get even more frustrated than she was to begin with. The wind pants like a dog from the fan above her head. Even silence can't meet her requests. She thinks of everything that burns this hole of stress into her. Her best friend is sick and her parents are ruining her life. Her other friend is stressing out because her best friend is ill. Another friend is a complete drug addict - much like all her acquaintances that she has dealt with but much worse. She'll never meet the boy who makes her heart prance, or rather she is too afraid to. The boy she is gained interest in won't speak to her. Several friends she longs to speak to are miles away or drifting but not because of physical distance. She's scared of how the next few weeks will turn out. Her grandparents are ill. Her parents don't understand her. Her brother is trying to annoy the life out of her. She's drowned in stress for the most important things are all happening this year and if they don't go well, there goes her future.

The weather hasn't helped much either. Sure, it's nice and windy. Her favorite, actually. Except when it's raining. It's like as if God collected buckets of water and finally decided Singapore's too hot and wanted to make up for all of it at one go. It makes her miss India. Her room, especially. Small but the perfect size for her. Closet, bathroom, desk, and a queen-size bed right next to a big window where she loved to sit next to when it rained. Her little haven where she could self reflect and write, write her lyrics. Her little method of releasing emotions that could not be spoken. It reminds her of having to move out of there, a place she loved and always will, which results in reminding her that she's moving again.

Singapore wasn't her favorite place, obviously, but she was starting to get used to it. The thought of getting her own room and not having to share it with her brother was probably the only upside of moving this time around. The only one she could think of at least. She felt independent here, even though her parents barely ever allowed her out. And if they did, she always had to be back home by dinner time. Any later, she was never allowed out ever again. It always also so easy making friends here and the next place already seemed terrible and she dreaded moving there. Her friends kept brigning it up, saying they were upset. Seemed like they wanted to make sure she was too. She'd never show it though. The tears push against the walls of inside of her, begging for some sort of release. She just smiles, even while her eyes are frozen.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-36429815620992810662011-01-29T08:35:00.001-08:002011-01-29T08:58:13.260-08:00Warning.Just like the the lights on the traffic posts on every street of this town, her mind keeps changing. Nothing stays the same for too long and nothing can convince her to stop. It's constantly changing with no chance of freezing. Should she be happy, or should she be sad. Should she smile, or should she cry. Thoughts fight against each other in her mind. The stress, the chaos, the wars and all that take place in her head, make her head spin and hurt her. She suffers from both physical and mental pain.

Noise irritates her and silence crushes her. Nothing can soothe her, only cause discomfort. It's not just the voices inside her head that control the way she acts, but combined with the voices outside conversing, yelling, and whispering, that effect the voices inside. She can't take it any longer. She wants to break free, but she's too scared to. She can't decide what she wants. She wants to yell and break glass, but she's too scared she'll feel guilt and remorse. That would kill her but then again, everything would.

She loves him, but she doesn't want him near her at all. She feels she's too young, but she's scared she doesn't have long to live. She wants to live life and go out for she fears to die, but she feels that she has time for that and she should wait. Indecisive, so hard to please. Her mind kills her and is only silent when she sleeps. But even her dreams aren't always fantasies, for she cries herself in her sleep sometimes.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-86803945371447450812010-12-10T08:21:00.000-08:002010-12-10T08:24:09.813-08:00Going to watch Easy A.A chain of raging emotions cling to my collapsing chest, creating a dark shadow suffocating it. The explosive chains rub against the ends, instigating an awaiting fire, trying to find any way to erupt. It traps me and I feel as though I’m being swallowed with no way to escape. The heat increases and my shallow chest is flooded with uncontainable, engulfing flames.

Unknown to me, any other option of releasing such vile daggers piercing through my shaken chest besides quick, witty, uncalled sarcastic comments that add unnecessary spice into mushy, lovey-dovey conversations that help sharpen the daggers that imprint me. Unwanted guilt rushes through me as I hear the cold, harsh words I have just spoken, repeated as I playback the rude interrupted scene in my throbbing head.

Sick of all the perfection in the air, I just want out. If only I knew another way to let out my pain that burns through my chest always ready to jump out. Causing other people pain and disbelief through my own is what I avoid the most. Trust me, I'm still looking for another method. The splendid dreams I have only become horror in reality, taking the most out of me. I’m sorry, to all those I’ve hurt. Get the hell out of me, to those trails of discomfort.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-56554820384039400812010-12-09T05:11:00.000-08:002010-12-09T05:12:26.731-08:00Studying economics.A worn out heartbeat, like a drum beaten countless times, lacks a life of its own. Surrounded by ordinary friends with perfect lives, that have everything that one soul could only beg for but convinces itself that it’s impossible to own. Claimed perfection smothers it, causing rages of jealousy and unnecessary pain in this hollow being. There is nothing left for it to claim. Tears trickle down into the shallow pool of darkness, hoping to find some enlightenment through these explosions of emotions. However, no light or other from the outside can see this undying pain release. The soul allows no such thing as it feels being captivated and closed in will cause less judgement and in the long run, less pain.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-30179163647284255162010-12-09T02:43:00.001-08:002010-12-09T02:43:31.855-08:00I need to write. No, I need to study.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-13231588278335071842010-12-07T16:39:00.000-08:002010-12-07T02:35:55.657-08:00Abusing “xx.”Also known as xoxo. Back then, rare letters. X and O. Only used when sharing hugs and kisses. Now, just a couple of letters used to end a conversation. Not a symbol of love just letters that follow a “goodbye.” If you said it to me before, it would’ve meant you felt something for me. But now, how can people truly show their feelings? How can they hint affection when everyone around uses the code without thinking twice?Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-36963182790063280432010-12-07T15:29:00.000-08:002010-12-07T00:44:56.855-08:00Behind the lens. You sit there, head tilted as far as you can tilt it, attempting to smile with your eyes. Something you’ve convinced yourself would make you look far more beautiful than just looking straight into the camera lens and smiling. A method of showing emotions, according to you. A method of proving your stupidity, according to others.

You spend hours, sitting, and staring into your reflection. Often times you look up photos of others who’s lives you wish you had. You post photos of them and you envy them. You go on and on about them. However, you detest it when others call others pretty because you believe only you have the right. And when others compliment you, you cause an argument just so you can keep hearing the praises. You’re not that beautiful as you think you are, dear.

Then you attempt to write but everything you write, is related to something you insist you avoid. Drama. Must you call someone a b*tch in every post you write? Hypocritical, that you are. You post that no one likes her, but you only have three friends. People are only nice to you so they don’t have to stir up drama because that’s something you just love to do.

You hurt others. While you play games with this one guy, who’s fallen deeply for you, you post that you want him. But if you really did, why haven’t the cards been laid down after three months? Every other day, the posts of “him” change. It’s a different guy each time, and everyone can see it. It hurts him to the core, but you’re too blind and distracted with thoughts of what game you’re going to play next. All you want to do is win.

You aspire to be someone but until you come clean with yourself, you’re still going to be that lonesome girl sitting on that chair trying to look beautiful for that camera, while you hurt other peoples feelings. It’s materialistic but it’s the only thing you can rely on to be there whenever you need it. In the end, a camera only captures it’s subject by the look on the outside. With no knowledge, whatsoever, of the inside. The easiest to fool.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-3439336621795841772010-12-07T01:18:00.000-08:002010-12-07T00:44:24.123-08:00Happy Birthday, baby girl.Just six days old, I held her in my arms. Her round, yet so breakable body filled them up perfectly. Despite the cloudy memories that I can't seem to grasp at this very moment, I remember feeling an explosion of happiness run through me. Time moved on, from six days to six weeks to six months. Now, six years. Time that seemed to take forever as it went on but now too fast as I look back. Full of memories both flooded with cold wars and unforgettable loving moments. Times when she annoys me and doesn't leave me alone, and times when she wakes me up by patting me lightly and with a big smile, "good morning jie jie* Lara."

She's my most favorite person in the entire world. When people ask, who do you love? I answer, Jordan. My baby cousin, but more like a soul sister. My other half, 10 years younger than me. The only one in the world I can rely on to make me happy when I feel sad without even asking to. She's seen me at my worst moments and each time I feel upset and she's not around, I long for her presence. It's quite scary looking at how thing's have changed from when she was six days old. After I helped make her milk at night, showered her at such a young age myself, changed her diapers, fed her, burped her, singing to her... she's now feeding herself, changing herself, singing with me, and whether I want to accept it or not, she's growing up.

A pretty face, still as cute as the day she was born, with jet black hair tumbling down to her shoulders, my baby girl. She turns 6 years old today. I can't believe she's growing up so fast. I know I love her though, and I wouldn't change anything about her.

Happy birthday Jordan, have the best day ever.
You'll forever be my baby girl.

*jie jie = big sister.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-90047574907489174832010-12-07T00:33:00.000-08:002010-12-07T00:44:29.698-08:00Chapter One.Piercing sequins, like armor, lined from the torn, worn-out edges rested on her upper thigh, up until the lightly protruded, silky cloth, lying on her chest. With one slender leg gently crossed on another, she sinks her back into the dark, mischievous chocolate chair, which contrasts between her sweet, milk chocolate skin tone. The sound of striking drum beats and high-pitched voices thrum in the background. The blaring tone soothes her and she closes her heavy eyelids.

Warm, unnotched fingertips tickle her as they run up and down her cold, frozen skin. Each touch followed by a soft, delicate kiss on her heated neck. She slowly turns to the direction of the heat. A hand, bear-sized compared to hers, hugs her wrist as it pulls her towards the silky, satin bed. She hears a soft laugh, something she is well acquainted with. Immediately she knows who it is as he carefully undresses her, leaving her defenseless.

His sweet, soft lips press together, leaning against hers. They part lips for prompt moments, letting out whispers in the air, completely breathless. On her unstable, shaking bones, he places his smooth, pebble hands. Around her cold, bare waist, he wraps his strong, warm legs tight enough to hold her up. She grips his tender face with her right hand as her left hand traces up and down his toned chest.

As if time was in their hands, he kisses her from head to toe making every kiss count, leaving her breathless. Then he stops. He pulls her up with his legs until his face is close enough for her to count every freckle that dots his nose. With her entire body under his control, he opens his freshened eyelids forcing her to look straight into his eyes that look like pearls reflected in the deep blue ocean.

“I love you.”

He silently mouths the three words as a shade of pink floods his face. Her lips quarrel the urge to chuckle and he nudges her lightly with his powdered nose. His dark chocolate waves rub against her cheek like silk and he turns to kiss her again. As their lips depart, she whispers, “I love you too.”

Lightly throwing her arms around, she places her palms on his smooth neck, slowly interlocking her trembling fingers, caressing each freckle it lands on. Little bumps rise onto the creaseless surface and hit against her numb fingertips. His velvet hands startle her as it warms her delicate, heatless skin just below her waist. He pushes her frail body down, covering her with warmth from his tender body and the smothering blanket.

He holds her with one hand, as sturdy as an oak, as he turns to his side. He perches his moist lips on her chest as she gently strokes his prominent bone structure with her silhouette fingers. His irresistible lips travel upwards and he sinks them into hers. She tastes the pleasing flavor of sweet peaches as they passionately osculate. Exciting thrills arouse in her and travel through her body. With every touch, an exhilarating shiver stimulates her.

He gently rolls over and lies her underneath him. Slow deep breaths cloud over her cold, raw skin. His burly chest pressed onto hers, she feels his racing heartbeat. The pulse beats faster and faster, and so do they. The pace increases, she feels a rush she’s never felt before. It’s like a race against time. His sweaty grip tightens on her thighs as he draws her in closer. Everything is a haze as a feeling of ecstasy overwhelms her.

"Our time is now."Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6895541117602441141.post-52499875313849980612010-12-07T00:28:00.000-08:002010-12-07T00:44:37.732-08:00I miss the days....The days when the first kiss was the most important kiss in the world.
Now first kisses are evidence “we’ve done shit.”
The days when kisses were special and each kiss was worth something.
Now kisses are greetings, the hello’s and good bye’s.
The days when each moment spent together mattered.
Now moments are casual and unimportant.
The days when a guy wouldn’t touch a girl without her permission.
Now girls either feel insecure or sell their bodies out to the world.
The days when no one lead anyone on.
Now games are played and people get hurt.
There's so much more I could list but I really do miss these days.Lara.http://www.blogger.com/profile/06750130774519297538noreply@blogger.com0
